Casa Loma – Toronto 6/6

Since it’s my birthday week, I wanted to do a special throwback Thursday blog post about my birthday trip last year to Toronto! As many of you know, due to circumstances beyond my control I wasn’t able to blog as much as I would’ve liked to last year. So right now, you are about to witness the 6th and final post on our trip to Toronto (#betterlatethannever) and it’s actually the most special of all the posts.

Last year on my actual birthday, Big A and I had breakfast and then we went just outside the city to see Casa Loma. Casa Loma is a Gothic Revival Style house built in 1911 which basically means: it’s a castle. So for my 25th birthday, I got to go to a castle. I could probably spend a lot of time telling you about the history but I won’t do that. If you ever find yourself in the Toronto area, I highly recommend going and spending an entire afternoon getting lost in all the rooms and floors. It was one of the most beautiful buildings I’ve ever been in. I took so many photos (as your about to see) but according to my fun fact below you may already recognize some of the rooms!

Fun Fact: Casa Loma is the setting for a lot of very famous films including: Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Beauty and the Beast, Chicago, The Pacifier, and even X-men.

Have fun looking through the pictures but just know that they don’t hold a candle to the real thing.
