Earlier this year, in the middle of February, I was in Texas at a Forever 21. It was warm out, warm enough for short sleeves so naturally every winter piece of clothing that you could see was on sale. They had all their winter gear marked BOGO and this blanket scarf is one of the treasures from that sale. I’ve owned it for quite some time but never had the chance to wear it but this weekend was the perfect opportunity! This weekend was the Chicago Open House, where over 200 buildings opened their doors for the public to view. We got in to see about 15 of them, but they were beautiful inside and out! (Look for a post about those buildings coming to a blog post soon!)
Anyway with the Open House, date night friday, pizza & John Carpenter’s Halloween last night, and all the sleep I’ve gotten, it’s been a nice long weekend and sadly I’m not too happy about rejoining the workforce tomorrow, but there is a silver lining! Saturday morning we fly off to Toronto to celebrate my birthday! It’s been so long since I’ve had time off work and I’m really looking forward not only to the downtime, but also to the trip, being with Big A, and celebrating turning 25 on the 25th of October. 2016 is a golden birthday and I intend to live like it!
